Qatar Executive to Showcase Business Jet at Abu Dhabi Expo

Abu Dhabi, March 04 (QNA) - Qatar Executive, Qatar Airways' corporate jet division, will showcase Bombardier Challenger 605 at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo from March 6 to 8. The three-day event takes place at Al Bateen Executive Airport - the first dedicated business jet airport in the Middle East and North Africa. Visitors at the expo will have the opportunity to see the luxurious interiors of its popular jet, which features the widest stand-up cabin of any business aircraft in this category available today, the Doha-based carrier said in a media statement Sunday. With its presence at the show, Qatar Executive demonstrates its footprint as a major business aircraft operator in the Middle East region, using this first edition of the event to showcase its product and service portfolio to visitors. Covering business jets, helicopters, and related services, the Abu Dhabi Air Expo is expected to draw over 10,000 visitors and major aviation players from across the Gulf region, Levant, North Africa and, as far afield as Asia and South Africa. The Bombardier Challenger 605 on static display is part of Qatar Executive's wholly-owned Bombardier fleet of six long-range business jets. Apart from the three Challenger 605s, Qatar Executive also operates two Global 5000s and a Global Express XRS the most feature-rich and luxurious business jet in the sky. Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said, "We are proud to showcase our Challenger 605 at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo, giving prospective clients a glimpse of what to expect when they fly onboard a Qatar Executive jet. With the Gulf and Middle East regions collectively continuing to grow from strength to strength, demand for corporate jet travel has surged in the region. Qatar Airways' corporate jet division recorded an increase in its handling of visiting business aircraft at Doha International Airport. Together with the airport's ground handling agent, Qatar Aviation Services, Qatar Executive provides Fixed Based Operation services in Doha ranging from VIP Meet & Assist to aircraft parking, cleaning and re-fuelling. A dedicated 6,400 square metre hangar at the Doha International Airport serves Qatar Executive for maintenance operations and has been selected by Bombardier as an Approved Service Facility for the manufacturer s other aircraft operators. The a la carte service for passengers includes the convenience of booking an aircraft in as little as four hours before departure, access to premium airport lounges, and check-in 10 minutes prior to take off.
