BI RAISES KEY INTEREST RATE BY 25 BASIS POINTS
Jakarta, Oct. 7 (ANTARA) - The Board of Governors of Bank Indonesia (BI) at a meeting here on Tuesday decided to raise the bank's key interest rate or BI rate by 25 basis points to 9.50 percent.
BI Governor Boedino said at a press conference in Jakarta that the BI Rate was raised due to the high inflation rate and in anticipation of the impact of the current global financial crisis.
