President unearths arresting terrorist cell has links with Israeli

HADRAMOUT, Oct. 06 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh unearthed
arresting terrorist cell five days ago has links with Israeli
intelligence, despite raising a banner for Islam.

" You will hear about what will be going on in the proceedings,"
said the president, calling all political parties and people of good
will to cooperate for facing terrorist acts for making all people
in peaceful and stable conditions.

In his meeting with officials and dignitaries in Hadramout
governorate, president Saleh talked about governor's elections "I
congratulate you for electing Salem al-Khanbashi as governor for
Hadramout. I know him as honest and nationalistic person and for
this reason I brought him to run for the elections despite blame for
nominating a person from out the party (GPC)."

He talked about establishing university in Hadramout Valley, saying
that there are three colleges and I will direct the government to
complete the university in the Valley because it has become great
governorate with complete security apparatus.

Concerning land assigned for investment, the president directed the
governor to notify those who have been granted these lands and have
not carried out investment projects on having a period of 3-4 months
to start their projects unless the lands will be granted to citizens
to make use of them.

He affirmed that these lands have been granted to investors for
making investment projects providing work opportunities not to be
frozen or trade for illegally.

Concerning electricity, he says "we are working on providing 30 mega
watt of electricity generated by gas. We are intending to build
strategic project for generating energy. For this purpose we seek
for French, Jordanian, American and Malaysian expertise for
establishing a station for generating electricity with nuclear
energy and Allah will help us succeed in this."

He noted increasing of cement production for there is a number of
cement factories working in Yemen and new ones in Lahj and in
Hadramout.

"I seize this opportunity for meeting with this elite of people in
this hall to call political parties to actively participate in the
elections (2009 parliamentary elections)," he said.
