Kazakhstan offers Azerbaijan access to Customs Union

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 23 / Trend E.Ismayilov / Azerbaijani entrepreneurs have opportunities to access the markets of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus in the Common Economic Space through the Aktobe province, Aktobe province head Arhimed Muhambetov told reporters in Baku on Thursday. "Access to these markets through the Common Economic Space promises unified tariffs and other benefits in taxes and customs, and this creates favorable conditions for business development," Muhambetov said. "The visit to Baku aims to find investors and partners for cooperation in various spheres of economy, including agriculture," the akim said. He said over 20 major projects are present at the forum, including nickel and glass factories. "We hope Azerbaijani businessmen will take part in the creation of joint ventures for these projects," Mukhambetov said. He said Aktobe is interested in making agricultural product supplies to Azerbaijan, including fruits and vegetables, as well as in finding partners to organize agricultural product packaging.
