Iraqi parliament ratifies agreement on cooperation with Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 23 / Trend A.Taghiyeva / The Iraqi parliament has ratified an agreement on cooperation with Azerbaijan in economic, political and strategic areas, Iraqi ambassador to Azerbaijan Haidar Shia Al-Barrak told Trend on Thursday. He said the country's parliament had considered this issue for several months and MPs finally voted on Wednesday. The ambassador said the visit of the chairman of the Iraqi parliament's committee on foreign relations Hammam Hammoudi to Azerbaijan also contributed to ratification of the agreement.
