King Abdullah orders extending assistance to Burkina Faso
Jeddah, Oct 6, SPA -- The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has issued his directives to extend $1 million
assistance to Burkina Faso so as to make additional serums available
for the treatment of meningitis and vaccination against the disease.
The gesture of King Abdullah comes in response to a message from the
President of Burkina Faso, who has expressed appreciation for the
assistance extended by the Kingdom to confront the menace of
meningitis in his country.
The President of Burkina Faso said his country is in need of
additional serums for carrying out the required vaccination
campaigns.
Earlier the Kingdom extended $500,000 worth vaccination units against
meningitis. They were sent from Riyadh to Burkina Faso and delivered
by the Saudi embassy there to the concerned officials.
