Azerbaijan to be represented in G20 for the first time

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb.16 / Trend S.Agayeva / Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will attend a meeting of foreign ministers of G20 countries in Mexico, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev told journalists in Baku. Abdullayev said Azerbaijan is one of ten countries invited to G20. "Invitation of Azerbaijan to the meeting is an indicator of the country's growing prestige and the success of its foreign policy," Abdullayev said. Finance ministers and heads of central banks of G20 will discuss a possible increase of capital of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the meeting in Mexico on Feb.24-26, Mexican special envoy Roberto Marino said on Wednesday.
