29 COUNTRIES TO PARTICIPATE IN WHC CONFERENCE IN SOLO
Solo, Indonesia, Oct 5 (ANTARA)- A cultural parade was slated to highlight the Euro-Asia World Heritage Cities (WHC) Conference and Expo in Central Java provincial city of Solo with regional heads of 29 countries participating, a spokesman said.
The WHC conference and expo will take place from October 25 to 28, 2008, local cultural parade coordinator Kalinggo Honggopuro said here on Sunday, adding that the parade was scheduled to start on October 26 from the city hall to Gendengan west of the city.
The local and foreign regional heads will use horse-drawn carts in the parade, Kalinggo said, noting that some 500 artists of the Surakarta-based Indonesian Arts Institute (ISI) will perform the Ramayana dance.
