Nghi Son EZ gets infrastructure investment

Thanh Hoa (VNA) - Northern Thanh Hoa province invested more than 423
billion VND (25.5 million USD) for the construction of infrastructure in
Nghi Son economic zone (EZ) during 2006-2008, in an effort to attract more
investment projects to the province

48 projects on infrastructure construction are underway, including roads,
a breakwater, deep-water ports, waterway dredging, a raw water supply
system, and resettlements.

The dredging work is expected to be completed by the end of 2008 so that
the port is capable of receiving heavy-tonnage ships that will deliver
materials and equipments for future major industrial projects.

The EZ's management board is also speeding up the construction of 6 new
resettlements to house 1,000 families, providing grounds for projects in
late 2008 and 2009.
