Al-Qirbi calls on states overlooking Red Sea to counter piracy acts
SANA'A, Oct. 04 (Saba) - Minister of Foreign Affairs Abu Bakr
al-Qirbi called Saturday on states overlooking Red Sea and Arab Sea
to coordinate efforts to counter the piracy acts and not rely on
foreign countries.
Speaking to the Saba-run al-Syasiah paper, al-Qirbi affirmed the
significance of concerting efforts of states overlooking the Red Sea
to counter the growing piracy operations in Red Sea and Aden Gulf
and secure the international navigation safety.
The president's visits to each of Jordan and Egypt come in the
framework of coordinating stances and mobilizing efforts to fight
against these acts of Somali pirates, al-Qirbi said.
