Crimes by foreigners nearly double in 4 yrs
SEOUL, Oct. 4 (Yonhap) -- The number of crimes committed by foreigners in South Korea has nearly doubled in four years, a report showed on Saturday.
Crimes by expatriates totaled 23,351 last year, compared with 12,821 in 2004,
according to the report by the Justice Ministry.
Crimes involving foreigners have been on a sharp rise, reaching 13,584 in 2005,
17,379 in 2006 and 19,893 so far this year, it said.
Meanwhile, the number of registered expatriates topped 1 million in August this
year, the report said.
