Al Ahmed Praises HH the Emir's Support for Palestinians

Doha, February 04 (QNA) - Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Fatah Central Committee member Azzam Al Ahmad said that the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet in Doha tomorrow, Sunday, with Khaled Meshaal, Head of the Palestinian Hamas movement Politburo Upon arrival in Doha this evening as part of the delegation accompanying President Abbas, Al Ahmed praised in a statement to Qatar News Agency / (QNA) the support of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, to the Palestinian people .. and said "We chose to have the meeting in Qatar because we understand HH the Emir's keenness on providing all forms of support and assistance to the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause ".. Noting in this context that the State of Qatar holds the presidency of the Arab Monitoring Committee on the peace process. Ahmed said "that there is a continuous consultation between Qatar and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) on the peace issue ," .. and said "I believe that reconciliation (between Palestinian factions) is one of the most important factors to address the blockage of the peace process, and the State of Qatar will be on our side, and I am sure of that. " On issues to be discussed by President Mahmoud Abbas and Khaled Meshaal, in their meeting in Doha, Al-Ahmad said: President Abbas had received an invitation from HH the Emir for holding the meeting in Doha to follow up the major issues at this stage. Ahmad said that "at the top of the issues to be considered at the Doha meeting is the forming the new Palestinian government .. Noting that it had already been agreed at the Cairo meeting that February 21 would be deadline to begin consultations to form the Palestinian government. (QNA)
