Qatari Premier Welcomes UN Security Council Draft Resolution on Syria

New York, February 03 (QNA) - HE Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani has welcomed a draft resolution by the UN Security Council on Syria which has been forwarded by Morocco in blue ink. HE the Premier and Foreign Minister strongly urged that it should be adopted unanimously by the council members. HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister said in a press statement today that the draft resolution provides the necessary political support for the Arab League for pursuing a peaceful transition to the aspirations of the Syrian people under the auspices of the Arab League and what have been agreed upon with the time plan of the Arab League. HE the Premier and Foreign Minister added that the Syrian people deserve the support of the UN Security Council in its quest to achieve peace and equality in rights and the necessary reform in Syria.(QNA)
