Culture Minister Opens Art Exhibition

Doha, January 31 (QNA) - HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari opened this evening at Al Merkhia gallery at Souq Waqif a joint exhibition by the Syrian Fine Artists Abdullah Murad and Ghassan Nana. Following the opening ceremony, HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage toured the various sections of the exhibition where he was briefed about the works displayed. HE the Minister said in remarks that this exhibition is part of the cultural movement of in Qatar, where no a day passes without a cultural event, stressing keenness on the participation of artists in general and Arab artists in particular. HE Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, stressed the Ministry of Culture keenness to provide the opportunity for artists in general and Arabs in particular to participate in such exhibitions that enrich the cultural life in Qatar and provide an opportunity for Qatari artists and even the Qatari people and the residents to get acquainted with and identify new arts works in a way that creates more awareness about the importance of art.(QNA)
