Qatari Premier Holds Series of Meetings in New York

New York, January 31 (QNA) - HE Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, who is also Chairman of the Arab Committee on Syria met here on Tuesday with Pakistan's, South Africa's, and India's Permanent Representatives to the United Nations respectively Abdullah Haroun, Baso Sangqu, and Hardeep Singh Puri HE the Premier and Foreign Minister also met at the Seat of the Qatar's Permanent Mission to UN in New York with British Foreign Secretary William Hague, and Portugal's Minister of Foreign Affairs Paulo Portas . Discussions during the meetings dealt with efforts exerted by the Arab League to resolve the crisis in Syria within the framework of the Arab initiative .. Talks also dealt with the decision of the Arab Ministerial Council requesting the UN Security Council to adopt of the Arab Initiative aims to end the violence and stop the bloodbath in Syria and restore security and stability there. The meetings were attended by members of the delegation accompanying HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.(QNA)
