Katara Hosts Qatari Contemporary Art Exhibition

Doha, January 31 (QNA) - Visual Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage is to organize an exhibition on Qatari contemporary art on March 13. The exhibition showcases the experiences of female Qatari creative artists whose works have depth and artistic and personal dimensions. The following female artists Amal Al-Aathem, Wadha As- Sulaiti, Ebtisam Al Saffar, Mona Bu Jassoum, Maryam Al Mousa and Hessa Kala were all recommended to participate in the exhibition. These artists were chosen after monitoring their local and international works over the past few years taking into consideration the variety in their treatment of materials and the artistic use of them. The exhibition aims to view and analyze the Qatari plastic movement that the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage pays special attention to. (QNA)
