India lodges protest with Pak over ceasefire violation in J.K.
Jammu, Oct 3 (PTI) Asserting that the militants on the other side of international border (I.B.) are enjoying support of Pakistani forces during infiltration bids, Border Security Force (B.S.F.) Friday lodged a strong protest with its Pakistani counterpart over the ceasefire violation and infiltration bids in Jammu.
"B.S.F. has lodged a strong protest with Pakistan Rangers
at Border Outpost on international border in Jammu frontier
over an attempt to push in ultras under the cover of Pak
firing in Tent Post in Kanachak area of Jammu district on
October one," B.S.F officials said.
The protests were registered by B.S.F. with Chinab
Rangers at company commanders' meeting at Tent Post in Kana
Chak area of the district.
The company commander of B.S.F. has shown them proofs of
infiltration attempts, firing and grenade blast marks, they
said.
Pakistan commanders, however, termed them as handiwork of
militants and promised to probe into the incident, they said
adding that B.S.F. has expressed concerns over such incidents.
Three to four militants tried to enter into Indian
territory under the cover of Pak firing in Tent Post area in
Kanachak area of Jammu district on October one, which was
foiled by B.S.F. troops.
"There are repeated infiltration bids from Pakistan. When
we protest, they deny. The repeated infiltration bids on I.B.
recently shows that militants on the other side are enjoying
the support of Pakistani forces," Additional Deputy Inspector
General (DIG), (Intelligence), B.S.F., J B Sangwan said. PTI
