TATA KTI TO CONDUCT ROAD SHOW ON DEVLOPMENT, LEADERSHIP CONCEPTS
Jakarta, Oct 3 (ANTARA) - A number of Eastern Indonesia figures grouped in the Eastern Indonesia Economic Awakening Movement (Tata KTI) have completed formulating the concept of their vision and mission on national development and leadership in the future, and intend to publicize it through a road show, a spokesman said.
"The concept will be the main issue of our road show to every element and component of the nation, including through the mass media, government, legislatures and politicians," Tata KTI coordinator Zaenal Bintang told Antara on Friday.
The figures completed the job at a meeting at the residence of Regional Representatives Council (DPD) Vice Chairman La Ode Ida, he said.
"We need to explain Tata KTI's true vision and mission on how to build our nation without creating disparities and discrepancies among areas, regions, communities and so forth," he said.
KTI's concept was also about the right person to carry out the task of administering justice and improving the people's welfare, he said.
Meanwhile, Laode Ida said President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY)'s stated intention to seek reelection in 2009 and Vice Presdient Jusuf Kalla (JK)'s readiness to be Yudhoyono's running mate needed to be evaluated carefully.
Tata KTI would assess SBY-JK's performance before recommending to its members either to suppor or not to support them, he said.
"In my opinion, a rational, logical and modern democracy cannot be based on fanatical support for leaders. It should consider alternatives to observe the leaders' strengths and weaknesses," Laode Ida added.
