AZERBAIJAN FM MEETS NEW GREEK AMBASSADOR
Baku, 03 0ctober,(AzerTAj)Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Thursday with newly appointed Ambassador of Greece to Azerbaijan Ioannis Metaxas to receive the copies of his credentials.
They discussed intensifying intergovernmental commission`s activities and organizing joint economic forum to boost bilateral cooperation.
The Ambassador said next year his country would assume the OSCE presidency adding along with expanding multilateral cooperation it will place special emphasis on the settlement of the conflicts existing in the South Caucasus.
Stressing the OSCE`s significant role in resolving conflicts the Azerbaijani Minister noted his country is curious in restoration of stability and peaceful neighborhood in region. The meeting also discussed organizing reciprocal visits and other issues of mutual
interest.
