TRUCK-CAR COLLISION KILLS THREE IN CENTRAL JAVA
Semarang, Central Java Province, Oct. 3 (ANTARA) - A collision between a truck and an Izusu Panther car killed three persons and injured three others in Demak, Central Java Province, on Friday.
The traffic accident happened at around 5 am local time, according to R Susetyo, a local transportation, communication and informatics official, here on Friday.
The chronology of the accident, and the victims' identities were still being checked, he said.
According to preliminary information, the ill-fated Phanter car was carrying a family heading to a graveyard to pay homage to their dead relative.
Over the past three days, at least 14 people were killed in several traffic accidents in Central Java.
Last Wednesday (Oct. 1), Rajawali executive train hit a Kijang car and killed five people near Gambrengan Grobogan railway station, Central Java.
On Thursday (OCt. 2), Prambanan Express train crashed a Toyota Avanza car and killed six passengers of the Avanza in Kletan, in the province.
