HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Praises Qatari-Egyptian Relations

Doha, January 25 (QNA) -HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah stressed the strength and excellence of the Qatari-Egyptian relations, confirming meantime that HH the emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, are paying great interest in enhancing the prospects for Egyptian-Qatari relations. The minister said that the Qatari move towards investment in Egypt came upon the directives of HH the Emir and under the supervision of HH the Heir Apparent in order to support the mutual cooperation with Egypt in all fields. This came in response to reporters' questions after a reception organized here on Wednesday by the Egyptian Ambassador to Qatar HE Mahmoud Fawzi Abu Dunia marking the first anniversary of the January 25 revolution in Egypt. HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs described the Egyptian-Qatari relations as beyond words, and said: "All that we hope for in Qatar is that the people of Egypt would achieve the goals of the revolution and to see the civilian elected government in Egypt," stressing however thedue keenness of of Qatar to strengthening the relations between the two countries. Replying to a question about the Qatari investments in Egypt, HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah announced that Qatar has a very ambitious programme awaiting implementation in Egypt. ... "We are waiting to see the elected civilian government and then we will start executing investment projects", stressing in this context the unlimited support of HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent to the brethren in Egypt.
