HE the Qatar Prime Minister Chairs Cabinet' Regular Meeting
Doha, January 25 (QNA) - The Prime Minister HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani, chaired the cabinet's regular meeting held on Wednesday at the Emiri Diwan premises.
After the meeting, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for the Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud stated the following:
The cabinet considered the topics tabled on the agenda and took the following decisions:
First: Conducting an evaluation study for the Law of Human Resources Management issued by Law No. (8) of the year 2009, in accordance with the cabinet's previous decision ruling that such a law be enforced to evaluate the work of this law after three years of implementation. The cabinet entrusted HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for the Cabinet Affairs to form a committee to take whatever necessary in this regard.
In this context, the cabinet decided to terminate the application of the decision of the gradient in the proportions of functional levels of performance in accordance with the normal distribution curve.
Second: approving a draft law on the organization of tourism and to forwarding it to the Advisory Council.
Third: The cabinet reviewed the following topics and took the appropriate decision:
1. The letter of HE the Minister of Economy and Finance who is also the CEO of Qatar Financial Centre concerning the audited accounts of the Civil and Commercial Court and the Court of regulation of Qatar Financial Centre for the fiscal year ended on 31/12/2010, and a report on their activities.
2. The letter of HE the Minister of Social Affairs who is also the Acting Minister of Labour on the outcomes of the Tenth Meeting of the GCC Ministers of Housing , held in Abu Dhabi in November 2011.
Fourth, to approve:
1. A draft Agreement on Economic, commercial and technical cooperation between the Governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kenya.
2. A draft Agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to income taxes, between the governments of the State of Qatar and Bermuda.
3. A draft Twinning Agreement between the Doha city, Qatar, and the Municipality of Tirana in the Republic of Albania. (QNA)
