Armenian bill at French Senate unacceptable, says Deputy PM Arinc

FRANKFURT (A.A) - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said Tuesday that he found an Armenian bill adopted at the French Senate on Monday night as unacceptable. Speaking at a press conference at the Turkish Consulate General in Frankfurt, Arinc said that the Armenian bill would hurt the respectability of France and hurt Turkish-French relations. There was no genocide of the Armenians in 1915, Arinc stressed. An Armenian bill adopted at the French Senate on Monday would criminalize the denial of Armenian allegations pertaining to the incidents of 1915 in France with a prison term of one year and a monetary fine of 45,000 euros.
