CROWN PRINCE OF PAHANG JOINS MALAYSIANS IN JORDAN FOR HARI RAYA CELEBRATIONS

AMMAN, Oct 3 (Bernama) -- Crown Prince of Pahang Tengku Abdul Rahman
Sultan Ahmad Shah, who is on an official visit to the country, has joined Malaysians for the Hari Raya celebrations here.

On the first day of Hari Raya on Tuesday, the celebration was held at the
residence of the Malaysian ambassador to Jordan, Hasnudin Hamzah, which
was attended by Malaysians and local guests of honour.

On the second day of the Aidilfitri Wednesday, the Crown Prince of Pahang
joined Malaysians at the Hari Raya celebration at the Malaysian Students
Department, here, attended by Hasnudin and over 500 Malaysian students
throughout the kingdom.

The department's director, Sulaiman Ismail, said Tengku Abdul Rahman, in
his
speech, called on the students to take the opportunity to learn Arabic besides
aiming for academic excellence.

"The students have also been told to equip themselves with soft skills and
to be graduates of caliber," Sulaiman told Bernama.

He said Tengku Abdul Rahman also advised them to forge a network with local
and foreign students so that it would be easier for them to build business
relations once they were back in Malaysia.

"The Crown Prince of Pahang also handed over donation to the Pahang welfare
body in Jordan to help finance its annual programmes and activities," said
Sulaiman.
