COLORADO`S NEWSPAPER PUBLISHES ARTICLE BY AZERBAIJAN`S CONSUL GENERAL IN LOS-ANGELES
Baku, 02 0ktober ,(AzerTAj)Rocky Mountain News newspaper of Colorado, US, has published an article by Azerbaijan`s Consul General in Los-Angeles Elin Suleymanov.
The article deals with political struggle of Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton for the
upcoming presidential elections in the United States, the history and importance of
the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) - the first as such ever established in the
Muslim East. The article says the ADR has granted equal voting rights for men and
women alike.
“Azerbaijan had pioneered a fundamental principle of equality for the region and
beyond. Building on this tradition, Azerbaijan`s First Lady, Heydar Aliyev
Foundation`s President, UNESCO and ISECO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva
initiated an international forum on expanding the role of women in cross-cultural
dialogue in June, 2008”, the article says.
