PACE PRESIDENT MEETS HEADS OF AZERBAIJANI AND ARMENIAN DELEGATIONS
Baku, 02 0ktober ,(AzerTAj)Louis Maria de Puig, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on 1 October met with the heads of Azerbaijani and Armenian delegations to this Organization.
The parties mainly discussed the question of restoration of activity of the
Subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh. The PACE President stressed necessity of election
of a new Subcommittee chairman after decease of Lord Russell Johnston, previous
chairman of the Subcommittee.
Then, discussed were concrete proposals the Azerbaijani and Armenian delegations are
going to make at PACE coming winter session and further activity of the Subcommittee
to this end.
PACE Secretary General Mateo Sorinas took pat at the meeting.
