HH the Emir of Qatar Holds Official Talks with Brunei's Sultan

Bandar Seri Begawan, January 17 (QNA) - HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani held a round of official talks at the Sultani palace in Bandar Seri Begawan on Tuesday afternoon (local time) with the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Hassanal Bolkiah. During the talks , the two sides discussed bilateral relations and means of bolstering and developing them in the different fields in addition to reviewing a number of regional and international issues of common interest. Their Excellencies the members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir of Qatar, attended the talks. While the talks were attended on the Brunei side by HRH Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam Al-Muhtadee Billah and a number of Their Excellencies the ministers . Prior to the talks HH the Emir of Qatar and Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah held a meeting which was confined to them . HH the Emir of Qatar, along with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, witnessed the signing of two agreements and two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the governments of the State of Qatar and the the Sultan of Brunei. One of the agreements was on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of financial evasion with respect to taxes on income, while the other one was for economic, commercial and technical cooperation. The two MoUs were on educational and cultural cooperation. (QNA)
