Qatar Emir Arrives in Brunei Darussalam

Bandar Seri Begawan, January 17 (QNA) - HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani arrived in Bandar Seri Begawan Tuesday on a one-day state visit to Brunei Darussalam. HH the Emir and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Brunei International Airport by Crown Prince of Brunei Al-Muhtadee Billah along with a number of high-ranking officials and Charge d'affaires of the Qatari Embassy in Brunie Ahmad Ibrahim al-Abdullah. HH the Emir is accompanied by a high-level official delegation during the visit. Upon his arrival, HH the Emir gave a statement in which he expressed pleasure to visit Brunei at the invitation of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei. HH the Emir extended sincere greetings and best wishes of progress, welfare and prosperity to the government and people of Brunei. HH the Emir expressed confidence that the talks between the two countries will have great impact in promoting the bilateral cooperation in all fields for the welfare and interests of the two peoples. HH the Emir then headed to Istana Nurul Iman Palace where HH was accorded a red -carpet reception ceremony. HH the Emir and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at the Palace by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei along with a number of princes, ministers, senior civil and military officials and ambassadors accredited to Brunei.
