Qatar Emir Leaves Sri Lanka

Colombo, January 16 (QNA) - HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani left Colombo on Monday morning, wrapping up a two-day state visit to the Republic of Sri Lanka. HH the Emir and his accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure at Bandaranaike International Airport by Sri Lankan Prime Minister Disanayaka Mudiyanselage Jayaratne, several Sri Lankan hihg-ranking officials, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Sri Lanka Said Abdullah al-Mansouri and Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Qatar Manjusri Jayantha Palipane. HH the Emir sent a cable to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa in which he expressed thanks and appreciation for the hospitality accorded to him and his accompanying delegation during the visit.
