HH the Emir of the State of Qatar Arrives in Tunis

Tunis, January 13 (QNA) - HH the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani arrived in Tunis on Friday afternoon for a two-day state visit to the Republic of Tunisia. HH the Emir and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Tunis- Carthage International Airport by Tunisian President Mohamed Al-Muncif Al-Marzouqi. Also on hand at the airport to welcome HH the Emir and the accompanying delegation were Prime Minister Hamadi Al-Jibali , President of Tunisia s Constituent Assembly Mustapha Ben Jaafar, Mayor of Tunis Al Adel Belhassan , a number of their Excellencies the ministers and senior officials , HE Qatar's Ambassador to Tunisia Saad Bin Nasser Al Hemaidi and a number of their Excellencies the Arab States' Ambassadors accredited to Tunisia. A red carpet reception was accorded to HH the Emir. A high- profile official delegation is accompanying HH the Emir during the visit. HH the Emir gave a statement upon arrival in which HH expressed in His Highness name and on behalf of the people and the government of the State of Qatar greetings to the brethren in the brotherly Republic of Tunisia wising them further goodness and constant welfare and prosperity. '' It gives me great pleasure to meet each of President Mohamed Al-Muncif Al-Marzouqi, Prime minister Hamadi Al-Jibali and President of Tunisia s Constituent Assembly Mustapha Ben Jaafar, to congratulate them on the first anniversary of the Tunisian revolution and to exchange viewpoints on all issues of concern to relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Tunisia and other issues of mutual concern. In the arrival statement, HH the Emir also voiced his conviction that such a visit would further contribute to deepening ties of cooperation between our two countries for the welfare and goodness of our two brotherly peoples.
