Mauritanian President Meets Qatari Ambassador

Nouakchott January 10 (QNA) - Mauritania's President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz met here Tuesday at the Presidential Palace with HE Qatar's Ambassador to Mauritania Mohammed bin Kurdi Taleb Al Merri. At the beginning of the meeting, HE ambassador Al Merri conveyed greetings of HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani,HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani to the Mauritanian President and their wishes for him of good health and happiness for the people Mauritania of progress and prosperity. For his part, the Mauritian President asked HE Ambassador to convey his greetings and best wishes to HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani,HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, of good health and happiness and for the Qatari people of progress and prosperity. Talks during the meeting dealt with distinguished ties between the two countries and ways of enhancing them. Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Hamadi Ould Bab Ould Hamadi also met today with HE Qatar's Ambassador to Mauritania to discuss bilateral relations and ways of boosting them.(QNA)
