Kazakhstan presides in CSTO

Kazakhstan, Astana, Jan. 3 / Trend L. Podolyak / Kazakhstan began presiding in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in 2012. Belarus completed its chairmanship in the statutory bodies of the organization and transferred the functions to Kazakhstan. The press-service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said that the priorities of the chairmanship include the protection of information sphere of the CSTO member states, development of the Collective Rapid Reaction Force, collective defense of the airspace of the Central Asian region, the formation of the CSTO anti-drug strategy, the development of the opportunities of "Astana the Rock City" training range of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the interests of the Organization.
