Journalists, Cabinet members wish Thai PM Happy New Year
BANGKOK, December 30 (TNA) - Journalists covering at Bangkok's Government House and Cabinet members on Friday wished Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra a Happy New Year.
Extending her Thanks to the journalists, Yingluck said she understands their roles and responsibility well and will listen to criticisms, as she is determined to work for public and national interests and to continue overcoming all difficulties.
Yingluck acknowledged that there are several issues waiting to be solved next year and she will try to complete her four-year term in office, but whether this is possible is up to the Thai people to decide. The Yingluck coalition government took office in August 2011, following Thailand's latest general election on July 3.
The Pheu Thai premier also insisted that her government will keep trying to achieve national reconciliation and unity.
Later, Cabinet members led by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit, wished the prime minister healthy with strong will to perform her duty. (TNA)
