ISSF Secretary General Congratulates AGOC

Doha, December 28 (QNA) - HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and AGOC Chairman received an appreciation letter from HE Dr Mohammed Saleh Qazdar, Secretary-General of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) . In his letter, ISSF Secretary-General extended his congratulation to AGOC Chairman for Qatar s success in hosting an exceptional Arab Games 2011 from December 9-23 in Doha. Dr Qazdar appreciated the significant role played by Qatar in the development of Arab sport and also in achieving the Arab Games objectives by bringing Arab youth together in a fair and friendly sport gathering, QOC reported. For his part, Secretary-General of Oman Olympic Committee, HE Hilal Ali Al Sinani has described Qatar as a pioneering nation in boosting Arab sporting movement. The Omani senior sport official on a letter sent to HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has confirmed that the huge support given by Qatar s wise leaders helped AGOC to host an exceptional Arab Games in Doha, according to QOC.
