Qatar, Gambia Signs a Cultural Cooperation Agreement

Doha, December 26 (QNA) - The governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Gambia on Monday signed an agreement on cultural affairs between the two countries. The agreement was signed for Qatar by HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari while it was signed for Gambia by Minister of Tourism and Culture, Fatou Mass Jobe-Njie, who is now visiting Qatar. The agreement includes a set of articles that would contribute to enhancing joint cooperation in culture and publication fields through the mutual organisation of cultural weeks and artistic exhibitions, visits of the youth, theatric troups and music bands and staging book fairs in each country. It also provides that the two sides exchange books and literary works , studies and researches related to culture and arts. It is worth to mention that the Gambian Minister flew into Doha earlier Saturday on a three-day visit to Qatar. (QNA)
