QCCI and Ashghal Meets

Doha, December 26 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) represented in the Trade and Research Committee met here on Monday with representatives of Qatar Public Works Authority's (Ashghal) to discuss obstacles and problems facing the Private Sector and the Salwa Road project. The two sides also discussed how best to reach appropriate solutions to the problems facing the parks and the vital commerical shops located along the Salwa Road. Director of the Designs and Sanitary Department of Ashghal Eng. Gamal Sharida Al-Kaabi , gave a presentation on modality of implementing the said project and its various stages and timetable set for the execution, the machinery in use and delivery date. Illustrations were also projected on how to use the current traffic diversions to reduce the traffic congestion and the Ashghal officials offered a hotline , namely 8000050 to receive the complaints and proposals of the public round the clock. The two sides decided to organise anther meeting to be held at the Ashghal Headquarters in the presence of the QCCI representatives to discuss a study on opening new and several exits and placing traffic guidelines to facilitate access to the commercial shops along the Salwa Road.(QNA)
