BUS DRIVERS COMPLAIN SHORT OF PASSENGERS AT BAKAUHENI

Lampung, Indonesia, Sept 30 (ANTARA) - Some bus drivers in Bakauheni port in Lampung complained Tuesday about the drop in the number of passengers in this year's exodus.

The drop may have been caused by the fact that may homegoers are using motorcycles or pick up services.

"The bus passangers are declining sharply starting yesterday," said Herman, a bus driver.

"Yestarday I still managed to run two round trips, but today there was none," he complained.

The todya's situation was very different from Idul Fitri exodus last year when there were more travellers.

"Maybe it is because many of the homegoers chose to use motorcycles and use pick up services," Surono, another bus driver, said.

Besides buses, a number of pick up service cars were also seen waiting for passengers especially at the Rajabasa main terminal in Bandarlampung.
