Algerian Team Wins Women's Handball Gold Medal

Doha, December 21 (QNA) - The Algerian national team today won today the women's handball contest as part of the 11th Arab Games, currently under way in Doha. The silver medals of the Games, which will continue until December 23, were won by Jordan. The Algerian national team defeated its Jordanian counterpart 35 / 14, while the Tunisian team beat its Qatari counterpart 51 / 8 in the games held Aspire Academy internal hall. Algerian player Shahinaz Shukr said expressed pleasure for winning the gold medal which will be dedicated the Algerian people and all who encouraged us. She praised Qatar for its preparations for the tournament and amazing organization. (QNA)
