Qatar's Embassy in Japan Hosts Reception Party,

Tokyo, December 21 (QNA) - HE Qatar's Ambassador to Japan Yusuf Mohamed Bilal hosted on Wednesday a reception party at the imperial hotel here on the occasion of Qatar's national day. The function was attended by a number of ranking Japanese politicians including Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yukio Aidanu, former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, former Defense Minister Ms. Yoriko Koiki, Acting Secretary-General of the Democratic Party of Japan's ruling, Shinji Taarotoko and former Deputy Foreign Minister Yutaka Banno who is also the President of the Parliamentary Association of Japan friendship with the State of Qatar. It was also attended by a large number of Japanese parliamentarians, the leading members of the political parties in Japan and senior officials from the ministries of the Foreign Affairs and Economy, Trade and Industry, the members of the Arab and Foreign diplomatic corps accredited to Japan and other public figures. HE Yusuf Mohamed Bilal gave an address on the occasion in which he pointed out that this year's national day celebrity comes amidst tremendous and great changes the State of Qatar is now witnessing at all levels under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. Reviewing the remarkable progress the Qatari-Japanese relations have been witnessing in all spheres, HE the Qatari Ambassador noted that next year, 2012 coincides the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Qatar-Japan diplomatic relations, the matter which forms a significant juncture of the economic partnership of cooperation and friendship between the two countries. For his part, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiheco Noda seized the opportunity has congratulated the state, the leadership and the people of Qatar for such a blessed occasion and praised the positive level of relations biding the two countries. He also hoped that next year's 40th anniversary of Qatar-Japan diplomatic relationship would be a chance for turning into a wider scope of relations that realize the aspirations of the peoples of the two countries. For their parts, the Minister of Economy Trade and Industry Yyukio Aidanu and Acting Secretary-General of the ruling Democratic Party Taarotoko also addressed the reception party audience and conveyed their felicitations to the state of qatar, the leadership and the people for such a splendid national occasion . The two senior officials also hailed the generous and humanitarian attitude of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the government and the people of Qatar for their support to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami floods which hit Japan last March.
