Volvo to recall 787 tractors due to defects
SEOUL, Sept. 30 (Yonhap) -- Global automaker Volvo will recall 787 of its
tractors sold here in South Korea due to manufacturing defects, the government
said Tuesday.
Subject to the recall are 45 tractor models sold here between September 2005 and
December 2007, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs said in a
statement. Those vehicles showed battery problems due to an influx of water into
the main power switch, the ministry explained.
The affected vehicles are eligible for free repairs at Volvo's affiliated service
centers starting Wednesday.
