TUNKU NAQUIYUDDIN APPOINTED REGENT OF NEGERI SEMBILAN
KUALA PILAH, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- The Ruler of Negeri
Sembilan, Tuanku Ja'afar Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman Monday appointed
Tunku Laxamana Tunku Naquiyuddin Ibni Tuanku Ja'afar, 61, as the Regent of
Negeri Sembilan.
The appointment was made as Tuanku Ja'afar, 86, would be going abroad on
vacation from Oct 6 to Dec 6.
Also present at the ceremony at Seri Menanti National Palace were the Tunku
Ampuan Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Najihah Tunku Besar Burhanuddin, Chief Minister
Mohamad Hasan, State Secretary Norzam Mohd Nor, State Executive
Councillors and heads of departments.
The Yang Dipertuan Besar also appointed Tunku Putera Tunku Dato' Seri
Nadzaruddin Ibni Tuanku Ja'afar as the Tunku Panglima Besar which fell vacant
following the death of Tunku Abdullah Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman on Aug
20.
