Azerbaijani president urges to fight against history falsification and heroization of fascism

President of Azerbaijani Ilham Aliyev urged to intensify the fight against falsification of history and heroization of fascism during an informal summit of the CIS Heads of State, RIA Novosti reported. The Moscow summit is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Commonwealth. "We should not allow falsification of history and the situation when there is a perverse introduction of the Second World War events. Not only in the sense that someone wants to take the main laurels, but in terms that, unfortunately, heroization of fascism is ongoing in some countries. We cannot leave it as the past. We must fight against it. We must make joint efforts and carry out our policy. And it would be easy, as the truth is on our side," Aliyev said. After the Soviet Union collapse in some former Soviet countries history of the Great Patriotic War was subjected to revision and a tendency of heroization of fascism allies appeared.
