Turkish deputy premier says PM Erdogan will take office in Ankara on Thursday

ANKARA (A.A) – December 14, 2011 - Turkish deputy premier has said that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan would begin working in Ankara on Thursday. Appearing on a TV channel, Bulent Arinc said that Erdogan was in good condition after he underwent a laparoscopic surgery in his digestive system on November 26. After the surgery, he was discharged from hospital on November 29. The Turkish premier rested in his house in Istanbul. On Tuesday, he met with Romanian President Trainan Basescu and received ministers and deputies from several Balkan countries in Istanbul. Replying to a question, Arinc said Premier Erdogan would probably arrive in Ankara this evening, stating that PM Erdogan would begin working on Thursday. Meanwhile, Erdogan will chair the Council of Ministers meeting on December 16 as well as Supreme Military Council (YAS) meeting on December 15.
