Qatar Attorney General Meets NATO'S Ambassador for Building Integrity
Doha, December 13 (QNA) - HE the Attorney General Dr Ali bin Futais Al Marri met here on Tuesday NATO Ambassador for Building Integrity Jan-Lucas Van Hoorn who is now visiting Doha on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the 'Anti-Corruption and the Rule of Law Center' in Doha in partnership with the United Nations.
During the meeting, they exchanged viewpoints concerning proposed scopes of cooperation between the aforesaid Center and the NATO activities on 'Anti-Corruption and supporting integrity and transparency .
NATO Ambassador for Building Integrity Jan-Lucas Van Hoorn made a presentation on NATO initiative and the cherished goals. The two sides also agreed to launch a dialogue between the 'Anti-Corruption and the Rule of Law Center' and the NATO for regulating joint courses in Doha with a view to helping those countries wishing to benefit from the NATO initiative.
Two days back, HE the Attorney General inaugurated the 'Anti-Corruption and the Rule of Law Center' in Doha in partnership with the United Nations particularly the United Nations Development Program and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.'
It is be noted that the Building Integrity (BI) Initiative was launched by the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) in November 2007 and is open to all NATO nations and partner countries, including Afghanistan. The BI Initiative seeks to raise awareness, promote good practice and provide practical tools to help nations build integrity and reduce risks of corruption in the security sector by strengthening transparency and accountability.
