Rabbi Schneier for QNA: "Qatar has the experience of the civilized world to spread the culture of dialogue of religions"

Doha , December 12 (QNA)- Rabbi Arthur Schneier ,the ambassador of the dialogue of civilizations has highly praised Qatar's commitment to building a culture of peace and dialogue between civilizations, to further contribute to promoting the culture of understanding and dialogue between nations. In an exclusive interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA) on Monday, on the sidelines of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, now in session here, Rabbi Schneier underlined the importance of the significant role played by HH Sheikh Moza bint Nasser in HER Highness'capacity as the Ambassador of the Alliance of civilizations for supporting the young people as one of the most important principles of the Alliance of Civilizations to run in line with the Millennium Development Goals. He highlighted in the meantime the vision of Her Highness about education and its role in disseminating the culture of tolerance, peace, creativity, and thus achieve the sustainable and comprehensive development. The Rabbi highlighted the growing role played by the State of Qatar to establish an effective dialogue between the East and West, that would in turn help build , understand and better communicate that ensure the appropriate mechanisms to stand in face of the multiple challenges. Elaborating Rabbi Schneier said that Qatar had the experience of the civilized world to spread the culture of interfaith dialogue through the annual conference and through the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, making Doha a destination for all the faithful of the East and West and the followers of different religions to adopt an alternative dialogue of the conflict. The Doha Forum is an opportunity for all governments, civil society organizations, and international agencies to meet together as partners, he told QNA. He also stressed the importance of the State of Qatar for hosting this conference after Spain, Turkey and Brazil at that time in which a number of people in the region are looking to a new strength of democracy, freedom and dignity. Rabbi Schneier cautioned that the importance of dialogue which would pose bringing closer the gap in views of the parties concerned with the Palestinian - Israeli conflict in parallel with the formal and informal channels of negotiations between the two parties.
