First deputy of Karbala governor accuses SLC members of corruption

Karbala (NINA) – First deputy governor of Karbala and head of the Amal Al Rafidein bloc, Abbas Hamid Al Musawi, attributed the reasons behind his resignation to the involvement of influential figures in the State of Law Coalition with corruption in the province. Musawi told NINA correspondent that the resignation was submitted to unveil corruption without being restricted by the official post and the other political considerations. He pointed out that he does not have any personal disputes with the SLC and that what he is looking for is to unveil the corrupt. Musawi did not point out to the nature of the files he is going to unveil or the figures involved in corruption. Amal Al Rafidein bloc earlier announced separation from the SLC due to what it described as the central government’s continued interventions in the local government’s affairs. /End/
