Turkish Airlines carry 30 million passengers in 11 months

ISTANBUL (A.A) - December 12, 2011 - Turkey's national air carrier has carried 30 million passengers in the first 11 months of 2011. According to Turkish Airlines, or THY, the number of passengers carried by the company rose by 11.7 percent to 30 million year-on-year in the period between January and November 2011. Occupancy rate of the THY dropped 1.4 points in the first 11 months of 2011 when compared to the same term last year and was recorded as 72.6 percent. Turkish Airlines is the national flag carrier airline of Turkey, headquartered in Istanbul. It operates scheduled services to 146 international and 41 domestic cities (38 domestic airports), serving a total of 187 airports, in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
