Romanian president arrives in Turkey for formal visit

ANKARA (A.A) - December 12, 2011 - Romanian President Traian Basescu on Monday arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on a formal visit. Basescu was welcomed at the Ankara's Esenboga Airport by Turkish Forestry and Water Affairs Minister Veysel Eroglu. The Romanian president is set to meet with his Turkish counterpart, Abdullah Gul, at the Cankaya Presidential Residence later in the day. The two leaders are also scheduled to appear in a joint press conference.
