Samsung releases new smart phone in China

SEOUL, Sept. 29 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co., the world's second-largest handset maker, said Monday it has released its latest touch-screen smartphone in China.

The SGH-i908E model, nicknamed Omnia, was released through China Mobile
Communications Corp., the nation's largest wireless carrier, in five major
cities, including Beijing and Shanghai, Samsung said in a statement.
The handset uses Windows Mobile 6.1 as its operating system, which allows viewing
and editing of various file formats compatible with Microsoft Corp. softwares,
such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Samsung said.
