Sheikha Alia'a bint Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani Presents Credentials to UN Director General

Geneva, December 06 (QNA) - United Nations Director General Qasim-Jomart Toqayev received today credentials of HE Sheikha Alia'a bint Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani as permanent representative of Qatar to the United Nations and other international organizations in Switzerland. Her Excellency during her meeting with Tokayev conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen the existing cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations Office in Geneva. The Director General of the UN Office praised the role played by the State of Qatar in the framework of UN international organizations, especially in the promotion and protection of human rights.
